Fantasy Baseball Express 2008

The FBE Community:

Welcome to Fantasy Baseball Express, Home of The Fantasy Man Show Baseball Podcast, brought to you by Fantasy Sports Express, Inc. This is our attempt at revolutionizing the Fantasy Sports industry and revolutionizing the way fantasy players find and use fantasy sports advice. FBE strives to provide up-to-date free fantasy baseball advice. We provide fellow managers with free advice and guidance on Trades, Keepers, Prospects, Waiver-Wire pickups/drops, Draft Strategies, overall Team Management Strategies, and general fantasy baseball related material.  FBE offers expertise for beginners, experienced players and "experts". We do this via...

- A website dedicated to free fantasy baseball advice.
- The Fantasy Man Show - A Weekly Podcast.
- Free advice by Email - The Fantasy Man will personally answer your questions.
- We'll also throw in Draft Tools, Articles/Blogs, an Interactive Message Board, an all-Fantasy Baseball Forum, and a fantasy baseball community of writers who are passionate fantasy players just like you and me.

Its all about fun, and its free:

You might be wondering what the catch is, right?   Where to sign up or what sneaky thing you have to do to get the free information, right?  Well, we are happy to say that its all free, yes, from the kindness of my own heart.  We just hate to see fantasy baseball managers get so frustrated that they abandon their teams and their leagues half way through the season and as a result, may ultimately ruin a league that was once fun and full of trash talking, trade talking, or even just simple communication.  Fantasy Baseball is supposed to be fun for a full 6-7 months with everyone keeping an eye on the prize.....cash and a league championship!  Winning a championship is not just about the money though.  No no,  its also about the bragging rights as most of us play in a league with friends, family and co-workers, and of course, its also about sharing good times with those same people as well.

Every fantasy baseball manager wants to draft that perfect team and  keep that perfect team in the starting line up all season.  Problem is, its impossible.  That's where Fantasy Baseball Express comes in.  Before the season, during the season and in the off-season, we need to manage our teams and our fantasy baseball knowledge.  We want to keep our teams competitive by making trades, smart free agent pickups/drops, and deciding on what draft strategies to go with.  We need help with our preseason drafts and help managing our keeper lists in the off season.  We need second opinions on trade deals or waiver wire pick ups and we simply need our baseball in those winter months when we're bored with Football.

The Fantasy Man:

Fantasy Baseball Express provides you with real and personal advice from someone who has over 10 years of Fantasy Sports experience, has won numerous league championships over that span, and is completely knowledgeable in the field of Fantasy Baseball.  This someone, created this fantasy baseball tool out of the love to this game, as a hobby, so offering it for free and spreading knowledge to new and fellow fantasy baseball team managers is rewarding in and of itself.  This someone is me, Mike Kuchera, the self proclaimed "Fantasy Man".

Now wait, don't get mad at me for calling myself the "The Fantasy Man".....let me explain!  I know you're wondering how I came upon this title?  Well, if you must know, I made it up!  Yep, that's right!  One day I woke up and said, "Hmmmm, I think I will call myself the Fantasy Man".  Actually, I was playing around one day in January 2006 right after Christmas, of which I had received an iPod from my family.  I also received a book about "Podcasting"  I had actually never heard of Podcasting before that day so after some web surfing and some investigation, I decided I wanted to see what my voice sounded like if I recorded it.  Call it "super curiosity, and boredom"!  I was in no way shape or form trained in radio broadcasting nor do I even like to be videotaped.  However, I was bored one morning and decided to hook up this crappy little plastic black microphone that came with my computer.  I downloaded some software and WAA-LAAA!!!  The Fantasy Man was born!  I could not figure out what to talk about so as I started recording myself  talking about Fantasy Baseball.  I quickly erased it, started over with a "Gooooooood Morning Everybody!"(Like Chris Russo does from the Mike and the Mad Dog Show).....and eventually rambled on for about 30 minutes thus creating the very first Fantasy Man Podcast.  You can listen to this first Podcast by clicking here or by clicking on the Archives link.  I've been working on my technique and you'll notice over time, I have gotten much better.  In the beginning, I did not get great reviews from some of the listeners but I did get positive feedback and after a few weeks of podcasting, my following began to grow.  By late February of 2006, I had this full blown Fantasy Baseball Website to compliment The Fantasy Man Show.

Fantasy Man's Credibility:

Fantasy Baseball is my life, and has consumed over 10 years of it. Hey look, any joe-shmo can start up a blog or a website and call themselves and "expert".  I simply picked up a microphone. But, its the things we do as "experts" that expand our credibility.  My goal is to be the most recognizable fantasy baseball expert alive, and so far I am still creeping up the later.  As I am the creator and editor of this fine website, I am a fantasy baseball podcasting extraordinaire, and can now add the following to my credibility...

- Member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association
- Fantasy Columnist for the Times Herald-Record, a local NY newspaper.
- Participated in Krause Publications 2007 Expert Mock Draft featured in Fantasy Sports Magazine
- The Fantasy Man Show is available on over 65+ podcasting websites including iTunes
- Participated in 27 fantasy baseball leagues in 2007 and over 250+ in the last 12 years.
- Commissioner and Winner of the 2007 Battle of the Fantasy Gods Expert League

The Future:

I feel that FBE, The Fantasy Man, and Fantasy Sports Express, Inc. hasn't yet scraped the iceberg.  The traffic to FBE, the webs presence and the popularity of The Fantasy man is growing at a rate that is beyond belief to me.  So much in fact that I am having trouble keeping up.  We have plans in the works to launch Fantasy Football Express this summer and plans to do great things for the fantasy sports industry.  With the help of our fans, readers, and listeners, we can continue to grow the greatest free fantasy advice website on the internet!

Thank you for visiting Fantasy Baseball Express and for listening to The Fantasy Man Show Podcast!
